First off, thanks for the help on the other problems i had, it was all fixed perfectly and i appreciate it.  I had another question though on the front shock set up.  The piece that the front tire connnects too (the one that also conects to the steering bars), what level is it supposed to be set at?  Like i have that bolt that goes through it but the tighter that bolt is, the more it restricts the movement of the shocks and tires.  should i have it set tight or should i have it set looser so the the nut on the end of it is only just barely on?

What your refering to are the front spindles.
They should be set so you end up with around 2 degrees of positive camber.

The kingpin bolt should be tightened so the spindle still moves freely when you turn it.

What do you mean move freely when you turn it?  Turn the spindles, the kingpin, or the steering?  Should I do this after I set the cart on it's own weight and tires or could I do this with the car raised on blocks?

With the kart on a stand tighten the kingpin bolt until steering becomes hard to turn.
Then loosen the kingpin a 1/4 turn or so.

More questions:  Would please put up some stuff on how to assemble the rear brakes (disc) and maybe on connecting the engine to the axle with the chain?  would be really useful, thanks!

was the kit supposesed to come with a rear axle gear?  the thing on the axle that the chain hooks up to?

The brake system... we have been begging the brake manufacturer MCP for years to supply installation instructions. The system does come with bleeding procedure notes.
I will take some pics and post with notes.

Rear caliper is mounted with feeder lines on the bottom and the bleeder screws at the top.

Yes a 1 piece aluminum gear should have been included.
